Gathering" yet? Thats the United Methodist Men's
National Gathering in Nashville,TN July 12th-14th 2013.
This event is held only every 4 years. Go to the
website:GCUMM.org and check it out Time is short and the
event will be GREAT! you won't want to miss it. I have 6
from my Men's group going. How about your group?
We have a 56 passenger bus, with a bathroom, from
Geneva, NY at $175.00 each person that we need $2700.00
down to sign the bus. I need people to let me know if
they will ride the bus and send a down payment to Dave
Evans for $60.00 so we can contract the bus.If you can
send all of the cost now that would be even better
Please let me know how many from your District or Men’s
group will take the bus asap.

Hand2Plow process moves forward; laity
sessions announced
The first gatherings of Hand2Plow, a process of
revitalization of churches in the Upper New York Annual Conference,
are set to begin in a few weeks. Director of Vital Congregations the
Rev. Aaron Bouwens, who is spearheading the process, said there is
still limited time for churches to join the nearly 100 other
congregations who have registered for the process.

UNY unveils its own Africa University VBS
curriculum
Under the Acacia Tree is a free Vacation Bible
School curriculum created by members of the Upper New York Annual
Conference to teach children about the work of Africa University and
to help support the Conference's campaign to raise $1 million to
support scholarships to AU.

announce its 2013 Summer Camp & Retreat programs. Early registration

Upper New York reaches out to victims of
Hurricane Sandy
The Upper New York Annual Conference collected donations totaling
$173,847.88 for the United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR)
U.S. Disaster Response (Advance #3021787) as of Dec. 31. Conference
members also gave $23,463.84directly to the Greater New Jersey
Annual Conference.

The Rev. Dr. Roy Miller, director of
The Better Place, a ministry that offers prayer support for
churches and respite opportunities for pastors, will be offering two
seminars at UNY churches.
